Following His commandments…

In this couple of weeks that I’ve been in Japan, I’ve been noticing that most of the Japanese Christians do not know yet that the ministry of Jesus Christ is still alive in nowadays through us, His followers. One of Jesus’s commandment is: Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19

Why should we be baptized, if we are already saved? that’s the question that many people wander. Let’s see what it says in the Scriptures: “We are saved by faith alone in Christ and not by works” Eph. 2:8-9

However, Jesus says that we must teach people to obey everything that He command us to do, for example Baptism. It’s an act of obedience to do the Baptism by immersion because illustrates a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. *Rom 6:3-4. Not only that, it is also a public proclamation of faith in Christ, where we picture ourselves in leaving behind our old life-style, so we can begin a new life with Christ and become in a new creation. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” Corinthians 5:17

Healing is a complicated subject to speak about, but I think that many people think that what Jesus did a long time ago, it is not available for us right now, I am obviously not agree with that statement! for I have heard and seen many testimonies where many people have been healed of allergies, pain, getting up from a wheel chair and even resurrected from the death! God is so good and I believe that we as a followers of Christ, our job is not only share about those moments but also encourage people to pray about that so perhaps one day they can be used and experience God’s supernatural power. I gotta say that not many people have the gift of Healing, nevertheless the Holy Spirit could use in a random time a person for God’s will and glory.
