When we were having a meeting with the Jesus Soldiers, we were informed that some of the people that usually go to Kyoto, they were not able to come in that day for many circumstances. We prayed to God, so that we could find people to share the Gospel and have a good time with them. Guess what happened… we got there, we sang a gospel song on the street and then God started to send people! I was so happy because even though most of us do not speak really well Japanese yet, we were able to have basic conversations with many people and also we could invited them over to the service. I truly believe that God helps those who wants to participate for the advancement of His kingdom. I think that by starting to get to know the people, the Holy Spirit will show us the right moment to preach the Gospel to them. For we are going to invite many people into the kingdom, however there will be just a few, whom are going to respond to the calling.
One of the parables that reflects this moment, it’s the parable of the Great feast (Matt 22: 1), where the king sends his servants out to gather the wedding guests to the wedding feast. But those invited refused to come, some because they were too busy with their own pursuits and some because they were hostile toward the king. So the king commands his servants to go out and invite anyone they find, and many came and filled the wedding hall. But the king sees one man, who was not wearing the proper clothes for the wedding, so He sends him away. In other words, Jesus explained, how the Kingdom of Heaven will be like, where only those who accept the Son of God as the Redeemer and follow His way, will be celebrating the wedding feast of the Lamb!
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb *Rev 19: 6-9
6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
7 Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
8 it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
